What HōMI Is — and Isn’t
A Decision Companion for Decision Readiness. Not a lender, not a credit score, not a hype machine. Clear bright lines so you know what you’re using.
What HōMI is
HōMI is a Decision Companion: a Decision Readiness Intelligence layer that helps you see whether you’ll be okay after a major commitment — starting with home-buying as the wedge, with the same honesty applied to other money decisions over time.
The product reads three pillars together: Financial Reality, Emotional Truth, and Perfect Timing. The output is educational guidance — a readiness signal and a map (including Build First and not yet), not an order to buy and not an approval.
What HōMI is not
HōMI is not a lender, mortgage broker, real-estate agent, credit bureau, or financial advisor. We do not pre-approve, pre-qualify, underwrite, or guarantee outcomes. We do not replace a credit score. We do not take affiliate or referral fees from lenders — zero-affiliate is doctrine, not a slogan.
If you need a loan offer, a rate lock, or a legal opinion, you need a licensed professional for that job. If you need clarity before that pressure, you are in the right place.
Language we refuse
You will not hear us claim you are “approved,” “guaranteed,” or that we “unlock your dream home.” We will not cosplay as a bank or invent urgency from market headlines. “Know When You’re Ready” means permission to wait when waiting is wise — not FOMO dressed as product.
If any marketing, partner, or rep ever blurs that line, treat it as a bug. The bright lines are public on purpose: educational guidance only; not a lender; not a credit score replacement.
How to use it well
Start with a calm assessment. Read the verdict as a map, not a grade. If the signal is Build First or not yet, use the path tools to close the real gap. If you are ready, you still talk to humans who underwrite and advise — HōMI does not replace them.
Bring curiosity, not performance. The product works when you tell the truth about money, feeling, and timing — especially the parts that are inconvenient.
See where you stand.
Ninety seconds of educational guidance — not a lender decision. Afford is not the same as ready.

Afford Is Not the Same as Ready
Approval answers whether someone will fund the commitment. Readiness asks whether you’ll be okay after. Those are different questions — and confusing them is expensive.

A credit score estimates whether a lender will be repaid. A readiness score asks whether you’ll be okay after the decision. Neither replaces the other — here’s what each one measures, for whom, and how they fit together.
